To neglect reality and build a fantasy world for our kids, or maybe ourselves?

I had this idea today, when I was guest by another family. We try to make it nice for the kids, we spoil them, because we say reality is too harsh.

But I tend to think that we lie to ourselves, overlooking what is going on and taking away the opportunity from our children to learn from and let them think for themselves from a certain age on.

We fear to get identified as the ones who partly allowed and even caused all this mess, because we simple went with it and never questioned the details.

We tried anything to do the best for our families, but the truth is - we run more often away from reality and the need for constant change, instead of facing it.

We have to wake up - to the “present”, the “Now” and face reality, without fearing it!

The school of my girls send out that only face masks, no face shields are allowed for the kids. I’m feeling lost, may they not even read my email. At least they did not even think about it, as I received no feedback at all. It’s only sad and I’m worried about my, all the kids.

What the whole situation remembers me at, is about the film “The Wave” (1981) based on “The third wave” experiment/classroom exercise of Ron Jones.

Another very well executed example, of how to attack and how our “simple minds” so easily can get manipulated.
