I got further through “The Elephant in the Brain” (by Kevin Smiler, Robin Hanson 2018).
There is a lot of stuff in there, that get along with my own observations (not a scientist) and it is not a comfortable read either at times.
Because you get remembered about your own flaws, too.
It also bring up a lot of well laid out examples, that we just see around these days, in the most sensitive areas were constant restrictions are driven forward to - so said, prevent worse - massive censorship is applied for very unclear goals, even dangerous ones, as described yesterday, in my understanding.
