To whom it may concern,

Hello my name is Stefan and I’m looking forward to attend your course, because of one - not to find anywhere else - part of the curriculum, “pair programming”.

After a 7 year break of working in IT, as a single dad, I’m looking forward to actualize my knowledge and hopefully find a company that work in areas I’m looking for = anything that will help to allow humanity to survive (e.g. allows 100% remote, or local/community based [pair programming] work).

With half a century in my backpack, it’s still amazes me that humanity still runs, better drives, towards this big translucent wall with dollar/euro signs on it and won’t slow down.

As our only ecosystem is under constant threat by us and humanity as a whole actively works on its own genocide, I hope to help to make a difference, that life on this planet can further succeed.

In getting rid of all the believes that money, or technology will solve the issues, as this translucent wall is finally reached and we’re breaking through it and behind, all of our desires will be fulfilled, including worldwide “human controlled climate conditions”.

My outlook with this course is to work on anything that will help wake humanity up, let program software that help to safe, store, automate any kind of energy creation/storage/distribution, e.g..

That my kids (very egoistically) have a chance to survive the worst parts of climate change that are undoubtedly ahead of us, even if we stop burning anything immediately.
It always gets worse, before our ecosystem can balance itself out again and allow all life to exist again under equal conditions. Unfortunately the planet doesn’t run on hope or beliefs, mainly basic physics.

Also one of the most important work, that has to be established again from the ground up, is trust between individual human beings. As it is so perfectly destroyed by media, Facebook, X, Tik-Tok that let the women/men think to be “perfect” or “have no right to exist” - we are under constant siege of scarcity and fear.

For me pair programming is one of these opportunities. I hope, as not found yet, that a large part of the courses will also include parts on security in programming, to defend against the bots and the few misguided humans, they see more value in destruction than creation.

That’s all I can tell you, not even sure if you wanted to read that. Any kind of corporate “bs”, how great everything is, how thankful for the opportunities I am isn’t me and I can’t offer it.

We are in an unprecedented emergency and anything we do, should have a very thought through purpose, because time is running out and dreaming about the good life won’t safe us.

We, here in Ireland may not die of the heat, as people actively do in other countries unfortunately, but may the food shortages will do.

So please be part of the solution of teaching what is needed, drive, consume, travel less - because doing less isn’t a bad thing, but could give the younger generations the opportunity to have a life ahead of them that’s worthwhile living.
