Watching the Apple Developer Keynote and my final conclusion for the “IT Year of 2024”, after reflecting on Google and Microsoft’s Developer conferences outcomes as well … we are getting closer to the future as seen in the film “Idiocracy” e.g.

In other words, anyone hides behind A.I.

There is nothing new, there is nothing that will help to evolve humanity, we are getting all dumb, via let all the obvious things to be done by AI (garbage in = garbage out) and that’s it.

So yes, it looks like we going to be killed by A.I.

Because we put all the trash in … e.g. “capitalistic driven marketing thinking”, “infinite growth strategies”, create more “useless stuff” … and hoping for salvation, that won’t come from A.I. systems they can’t yet - won’t be in time I fear - be capable of being empathic.

In Apple’s case, any kind of helping to make the use of “perfect hardware” more accessible to create and individualize its use (Virtualization, using technology to create a better future).

It is only allowed to fill it up with a lot of “content”, that, if there are no ways applying it anywhere, won’t have any sustainable effect on the person who consumes it, I think.

To put parallels to another area of constant limiting “of further development” (in the name of security and quality, for sure) machinery (Tractors, e.g.) get simple disabled, if you try to repair or servicing it by yourself.

So constant limitations that are applied to restrict learning - that is another part, beside climate change, we should protest on.

I still believe humanity is smarter than that, but with the kind of technologies and how they get deployed, it get easier for “the few” to “steer the majority”, that 95% of humans represent.
