Sadness of being dumb, or can’t manage it anymore brain wise.

I worked on a little thing and it took me the majority of my day. It was about understanding NetworkManager and how to configure a static IP using a WiFi connection only.

To be honest, I don’t get it why we always change the things in IT (elsewhere), resulting in the same output, establishing a network connection - but making it more complicated and config files can’t be edited directly anymore 🧐

I know, I may don’t get it anymore - my brain, as the rest of me is to slow, or unwilling to adapt anymore 🤔

Or it is this part, we call “technological development”, but more or less the real advances aren’t taking place in the speed that is sold to / told us 🤔

I do think, a lot of stuff is still presented to us as new and shiny, but it’s only wrapped up in another fancy paper.

A lot of man hours - life hours, that could be used to do more towards sustaining “all life” on this planet 🤔

The root cause for that is our “capitalistic economies” and this can become a real problem, sooner than later. That may creates challenges, that won’t be solved in time.
